Today I have woken up to blustery wind and rain and the rest of the week has been freezing cold even snow in one half of my town. As much as I love my Melissa ballet pumps, I have had to abandon for the winter weather in favour of boots as I really can’t cope with cold and wet feet.
Thankfully these days it isn’t too difficult to find lovely and stylish eco friendly and ethical shoes (I have blogged plenty of times about the fantastic selection on Spartoo!) But the ethical shoe industry really seem to have excelled with their selection of winter boots. I have a great pair of wedge ankle boots that I practically live in by the brand Dream in Green. They are great for wearing with both skirts and trousers but I have also just discover the brand have a fantastic selection of more casual boots which are not only super practical for the winter weather but look amazing too.
All of the shoes by Dream in Green use vegetable tanned leather which is a much more eco friendly option than coventionally tanned leather, where the process uses a cocktail of toxic chemicals.
What do you think? If you like these boots or any of the other fantastic green brands on Spartoo, please keep an eye out for my ethical outfit competition which will launch next week with the chance to win £100 of shoe vouchers for Spartoo.
Only 11 more sleeps to go until Christmas! what are you looking forward to most? I can’t wait for a lovely rest, cooking up some delicious food with my girls and perhaps a glass of mulled wine or two. This year I refuse to stress about Christmas at all!
With warmest wishes
