I was recently contacted Sara C (and I also had the pleasure of meeting up with Sara at the How to Be an Eco Warrioress Event). She had just launched a new collection of clothing decorated with beautiful prints that she has designed and which were inspired by Sara’s trips in a slightly rusty campervan called Able Mabel.
The designs definitely appeal to both my love of prints and my love of the outdoors, reflecting the wild beauty of England, Australia and Mexico with graphic natural shapes, infused with bright washes of colour. I also love that every garment is individually handmade in Britain using eco-friendly processes and fabrics like bamboo and peace silk.
Sara C has coined the term “Bamboo Couture” to describe their truly organic, ever-evolving creation and production process. Once they’ve designed a nature-inspired print, it’s crafted so that it works perfectly within the shape of each garment.
That way they can decide exactly where the print is placed and how the front and back will match. Each garment is then placement printed, hand cut and sewn.

Beautiful? what do you think?
