I wanted to share with you some of the beautiful handmade jewellery made by Hazel Mathiot of Lilygrace Originals who I have been working with over the last week or two. Hazel has just opened an online store ww.lilygraceoriginals.com selling her one of a kind necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings inspired by nature, traditional tattoos, Mexican Day of the Dead and the lives of women in the past, whether they worked in a Vintage Circus, performed as a burlesque artist, a Fin de Siecle show girl or lived their life as a Geisha or a Saint. She also sells bridal jewellery and undertakes commissions.
Her jewellery stylishly combines old and new with a variety of upcycled vintage finds set with new materials including hand modelled polymer clay shapes and antiqued brass chains. It is just the sort of conversation starting jewellery that I love and in fact, I am afraid I have broken my shopping ban and treated myself to a pair of earrings which I hope to share with you soon as part of one of my Six Items Challenge outfits.
What do you think? which piece catches your eye? sorry to put so much temptation in your way!
I hope you are having a good week and enjoying the break in the rain.
With warmest wishes
