On Friday Night, I went to the South West Blogger Christmas Party. I spend a lot of time moaning about how everything blogger and fashion related seems to happen in London making it either impossible or very expensive to attend. So when I heard that Mystreetchic.com were holding a Christmas party in Bristol, I couldn’t wait to get my ticket. Mystreetchic.com is a new fashion community where you can share you favourite looks and outfit photographs.
The funny thing is that I never realised how many bloggers there were in this part of the country. Over 100 turned up to the event although I understand that some travelled quite along way with many coming from Wales, Dorset and Devon and one even coming from Scotland!
I am afraid I didn’t take very many photos as I was far too busy chatting and those I did take have a strange colour to them as I haven’t quite mastered my new camera (a Nikon Coolpix L120 which was an early Christmas pressy from My Style Eyes) but if you want to see more, you can check out the Mystreetchic.com Youtube channel for a video of the event which will be posted soon.
We were treated to goody bags stuffed with beauty stuff, pink cocktails and a fashion show by Boohoo.com. My favourite part of the evening had to be getting the chance to meet up with all of the lovely bloggers.
As always with this sort of event, It took me ages to decide what to wear. The freezing cold and very wet weather further complicated matters. I decided to wear a dress that I bought from the Karen Millen outlet at Bicester village a while back with my charity shop fur coat and a feather headress from Little Wings (much to Mr Style Eyes amusement).
Betty Leopard (right). Sorry I didn’t get links from all of the lovely people that I met. If you recognise anyone please let me know so I can add a link.
Lyzi of Being Little with her flowers for being voted most stylish outfit!
After the horrendous weather and traffic that I experienced getting there, I decided to leave slightly early to get an earlier train as I was worried about getting home. I was really sorry to miss out on the rest of the party and fashion show but after a 5.30am start that morning was exhausted. Sorry to those who had to put up with me panicking about getting home and really sorry I couldn’t have stayed and chatted for longer. I was safely home and vegged out on the sofa with a lager by 10.30!
I hope that you had a lovely weekend.
With warmest wishes
